Capcon Engineering has recently completed a significant gravity drainage project in a new Dublin data centre for a large multi-national client. We provided an end to end service for the client, including the design consultation, manufacture and installation of around 300 metres of drainage pipe in the data centre. The data centre, based in south-west Dublin, measures approximately 11,570 sq metres.
Design
We provided an expert design consultation service early on in the project to review the existing design of the gravity drainage system that facilitated the rapid drainage of rainwater across the large surface area of the data centre rooftop. In coordination with the project design team, we utilised 3D software platforms Naviswork and Revit within a BIM workflow to provide construction standard drawings.
Manufacture and Installation
Our manufacturing facility based in Maynooth, County Kildare was able to provide the quantities of large diameter pipework required by the project.
Installation of the gravity drainage system was carried out by our specialist teams over the later part of 2019 and 2020.
