Design Estimator (APAC)
Capcon Engineering Ltd are global specialists in high-performance rainwater roof drainage systems. Our work spans design consultancy, off-site fabrication, and full-service installation across major construction projects including data centres, airports, pharma, commercial, and high-tech buildings.
We are currently looking to recruit a self-motivated design estimator to support our growing APAC operations, based in either Kuala Lumpur or Sabah, Malaysia. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing technical drawings, BIM models and project specifications to prepare accurate material quantity take-offs, developing cost estimates, and assisting with quotation and tender submissions across a diverse range of projects. Applicants should demonstrate strong analytical and organisational skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.

Salary: RM 5,500 – 6,000
Key Responsibilities
- Proficient in issuing and preparing technical drawings using CAD software.
- Capable of operating BIM design and managing model coordination.
- Support cost management, procurement, and contractor performance assessments.
- Prepare, collate, and manage tender documentation packs.
- Prepare accurate cost estimates and carry out detailed material take-offs.
- Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and confidently.
- Ability to represent the Company and participate effectively in technical meetings.
- Create and maintain a system that supports efficient information management.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 5–10 years previous work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering / architectural. Candidates with Diploma and experience will be considered and welcome to apply.
- Basic understanding of rainwater design criteria & standards.
- Competent in reading and understanding plans and construction drawings.
- Effectively prioritise area of work and meet strict deadlines.
- High level of organisational and time management skills.
- Flexibility and capability to adapt to a changing work environment.
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
